600 Delegates to Attend Global Youth Expression Camp in Yaounde

              TRINT, JCI Official Hand Camp T-Shirt to Youth Minister
No fewer than 600 delegates from over 15 countries are expected to take part in the maiden edition of the Global Youth Expression Camp, GLYEX, which will run from August 8 to 13 under the patronage of the minister of youth and civic education Monouna Fotso.
The theme of the event is “rethinking strategies of youth participation in development”.
The youth camp is organised by the Cameroon office of an international humanitarian NGO, Transformers International commonly know by its acronym, TRINT.
In line with the ucoming event, the country director of TRINT, Mai Abeche and the Yaounde chapter president of Junior Chambers International, JCI, Djamo Dahirou were received in audience by the youth and civic education minister on Thursday August 4, 2016.
After the audience, the officials told The Guardian Post that it was an opportunity for them to present the initiative to the minister who, they said, was very delighted and wished to take part in one of the key activities of the camp which will also mark the celebration of the International Youth Day on August 12.
The camp, according to the organisers, is a platform for youths between the ages of 18 and 40, to exchange strengths, strategies, opportunities and initiatives on diverse spheres.
Going by the JCI chapter president, Dahirou, guests speakers coming from within and out of Cameroon will drill the youth on courses including, agribusiness, entrepreneurship, family planning and reproduction, community leadership and development and engaging peace and security for 2030.
The camp, he said, is designed for both students and professionals from all walks of life and is aimed at engaging global youth partnership and creating a platform for cross culture exchange as well.
The key guest speaker, we gathered, would include, Swedish-born Sir Axel Juhl Jurgensen who doubles as the patron of the summer camp and Cameroon honorary consul to the Scandinavia and Professor Lade Adeyemi who is the main facilitator; coming from Nigeria.
